Chicken Pie Recipe with no chicken broth?

Is there a way to cook chicken pie without having to use chicken broth? It's the only ingredient I'm missing and It's far to go to the store. Any ideas???Chicken Pie Recipe with no chicken broth?
CHICKEN PIE





1 whole chicken, thawed


1/2 lb. fresh peeled carrots, washed %26amp; sliced


4 fresh peeled potatoes, washed %26amp; cubed


3 ribs fresh celery, washed %26amp; sliced


1/2 fresh onion, chopped


1/2 can each corn %26amp; green beans


1 box Pillsbury (or similar) refrigerated pie crust


2 boxes Stove-Top (or similar) stuffing mix


1/2 cup milk


flour or cornstarch


seasonings: chicken boullion (or similar), poultry seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, butter





Wash chicken %26amp; boil on stove for 1 hour. Remove chicken from pot %26amp; boil fresh vegetables in the broth until soft.


While the chicken is cooling, prepare stuffing as directed. Pat down into the bottom of a greased 9x13 casserole dish.





Prepare pie crust for use, as directed on the box. Remove veggies from pot with slotted spoon. Place on top of stuffing in pan. Add the canned vegetables as well.





Remove chicken from bones. Place large chunks of chicken atop the vegetables. Reserve 3 cups of broth to a medium saucepan. Add 1/2 cup milk and seasonings to taste. Bring to a boil, and thicken with flour or cornstarch.





Pour this gravy over the casserole. Top the casserole with the two pie crusts, trimming as necessary.





Bake at 400 degrees until casserole is bubbly and crust is done.








CHICKEN POT PIE





1 can veg-all mixed vegetables


1 can cream of potato soup


1 can cream chicken soup


1/2 cup milk


1 or 2 large chicken breast cut into chunks


salt and pepper to taste


2 9-inch deep dish unbaked pie crust





Saute chicken in 2 tablespoons olive oil for about 3 minute until light brown, add chicken to the first 4 ingredients.


Mix together and pour into pie crust. Put top crust on pie, cut 4 slits in the crust. Brush with beaten egg wash.





Bake on a cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.








CHICKEN PIE





3 chicken breasts


4 large mushrooms


1 leek


1 pint milk


3 oz butter (for sauce)


2 oz peas (if frozen, defrost first)


2 carrots


2 packages frozen shortcrust pastry or home made


3 ounces flour


2 eggs


2 tablespoons olive oil





1. First fry the chicken breasts until they are brown.


2. Place the chicken on a plate.





3. Then make a white sauce using the flour (3 oz) leave the sauce to cool.





4. Cook the vegetables in boiling water and drain.





5. Mix the vegetables and chopped chicken to the white sauce 6 roll out the pastry and place in a pie dish prick the base of the dish.





7. Then bake in the oven for 10 mins on gas mark 5 (320掳F) till it is cooked through then glaze over with the egg and cook again for 5 mins.





8. Take the dish out of the oven and add the chicken mixture.





9. Glaze around the edge of the dish with more egg.





10. Then place a round shape to fit the dish (of pastry on top)





11. Then glaze it with more egg.





12. Place in the oven for 30 mins or until golden on top.





13. Enjoy your pie!

you can substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth.
you can use chicken boullion cubes dissolve in hot water, or a can of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom or cream of celery i have done all these and my pot pies were even better than original good luck
Use cream of chicken soup. It has more flavor and you don't have to thicken it.
cook ur fav. veges in water, retain water in place of chk. broth or use cream of mushroom/chicken..v/yummy !!
Buy ramen noodles, cheaper then chicken broth with probably no chicken.
